Herbalife Rally in Los Angeles Creates a Sea of Green in Front of L.A. City Hall
Downtown Los Angeles certainly felt the presence of Team Herbalife on March 25, 2015, and the sentiment was echoed around the world as many Members reached out via social media to share their experience and encourage other cities to show their pride and positivity about making good nutrition available in all communities. Nearly 2,000 Independent Herbalife Members rally together for the annual “Herbalife Day at Los Angeles City Hall”. As part of the #StandWithHerbalife movement, Independent Herbalife Members took pride in showing their support for Herbalife in California.
“Herbalife Day at Los Angeles City Hall” began with a group of our Members having a private meet and greet with City Council President Herb J. Wesson, Councilmen Jose Huizar, Gilbert Cedillo, and Curren Price, as well as the Deputy Mayor and other city officials. This small group joined over 100 Members in the City Council Chambers and cheered as Herbalife was acknowledged for its positive impact in the Los Angeles community. The celebration continued as nearly 2,000 Members formed a sea of green across the street at Grand Park.
Herbalife senior vice president and managing director for North America, Ibi Fleming, hosted the rally and shared the stage with Councilman Paul Koretz (District 5), Jonathan Zeichner (Executive Director of A Place Called Home), Carol Schatz (President, Central City Association). Several Herbalife Members shared their stories explaining the impact that Herbalife has made within their lives and communities. The Herbalife Members who took to the podium were warmly welcomed by the crowd and speakers included John Tartol, Mark and Jill Addy, Style Bell, Aubrey Clark, Mari and Gustavo Zepeda, and Paco, Rosy and Angel Perez. Later in the day, Herbalife chairman and CEO, Michael O. Johnson, made a surprise visit to share in the celebration.
