Our purpose at Herbalife Nutrition is to help make the world healthier and happier. We’re proud to have a community of employees, independent distributors and customers that embrace this goal in ways big and small. To raise awareness for the need for new and repeat blood donors, Herbalife Nutrition joined the Red Cross in its #MissingType blood donation campaign focusing on the need for all blood types. In addition to supporting this initiative by removing the letters A, B, and O from our logo online and through social media, the Company hosted blood drives for employees in the U.S., where our employees shared their experiences and reasons for giving the gift of life through blood donation.

“About two years ago I was in the hospital, recovering from surgery. Unfortunately, I ended up with some complications and needed a blood transfusion. Ever since that experience, my perspective regarding the importance of blood donation has completely changed. I think it’s so essential because, whether it’s you, a family member or someone you know, the reality is that the unexpected happens. If you are in a position to help someone else when the unexpected happens, it’s so important to do it — you can change someone’s life.”

“I try to donate as often as I can. Given my professional background in the healthcare field, I understand the significance of blood donation and donate regularly. It’s easy to do and I can make a large and lasting impact.”

“It’s always good to pay it forward — that’s why I donate. My family has experienced a series of medical conditions where blood has been essential and has made a difference. If you’re able to donate, you should do it.”

George Reveles, Facilities Coordinator

“I choose to donate as a way to give back. I know it’s a small gesture, but it’s something I can do to help someone in need.”
