Meet Me in St. Louis

The home of well known professional sports teams, the 1904 World Fair and the first American city to host the Olympics, St. Louis is no stranger to big events, and this past weekend saw the biggest Herbalife event of the year in North America.


Celebrating 35 Years
We just wrapped up an incredible Herbalife Extravaganza here in St. Louis. These annual events are always exciting, but this one was extra special as we celebrated the 35th anniversary of Herbalife in North America. Over three days, 21,800 members came together to learn, to make new friends, to recognize the success of other members, and to have fun. They left equipped with the tools they need to help their communities across the country live a healthier, more active life. And with an emphasis on dedication and hard work, they also left empowered to build their own businesses on a part-time or full-time basis.

A Welcome Economic Boost
This Herbalife Extravaganza in North America is one of many we host around the world each year and the scale of these inspirational events has a positive economic impact on communities.

In St. Louis, we invested approximately $3.8 million in event costs and our tens of thousands of members in attendance provided a significant economic boost to the local economy – the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission estimates that our event generated $18 million in hotel bookings, restaurants, transportation and other tourism-related activities.

Getting Involved and Giving Back
At Herbalife, we are committed to giving back to our communities. In this spirit of corporate social responsibility, on Friday morning we announced a new partnership with the American Red Cross (ARC) that allows the nation’s largest blood collection and donation organization to continue providing safe, reliable and cost-effective blood services.

As part of the partnership, Herbalife will donate 280,000 protein bars to the ARC, which will be provided to blood donors as part of the recovery package they receive. The partnership will also create meaningful opportunities for engagement by Herbalife employees and members – such as hosting blood drives at nutrition clubs and Herbalife facilities and volunteering.

We held the first of these events here in St. Louis with a blood drive that saw independent Herbalife members and employees donate blood over two days.

Herbalife has been a long-time supporter of ARC through board membership, campaign support and assistance in responding to disasters domestically and internationally, including providing protein bars to L.A.’s disaster cycle services.

Lessons in Life and Business
Herbalife Extravaganzas are important events for members who are looking to build a business, however big or small. They provide a forum for members to learn from each other and from the company in formal and informal settings. Over a three-day period, members get training on powerful themes and concepts that permeate almost every aspect of their business and personal life; they are rightly recognized for their achievements; and they get to enjoy wonderful celebrations, parties and recognition events with friends and colleagues.

As we look back on Herbalife Extravaganza 2015, the momentum and the excitement across the whole North America region is evident. This is a great time to be a part of Herbalife and being among the 21,800 independent Herbalife members, I am inspired and energized by the dedication and positive attitude that our members bring to everything they do. The next 35 years promise to be incredible!

  1. This padt event was anazing seeing the whole group of Distributors under one roof. This company is helping me to develop myself to become a better person and this type of events are the base of it. Thanks Herbalife.
