We are excited to announce that we will be the official sponsor of four National Olympic Committees and more than 40 athletes from over 15 countries competing in Rio this summer.

Herbalife is sponsoring the National Olympic Committees from Costa Rica, Israel, Italy and Vietnam. In Costa Rica, athletes will have access to Herbalife® nutrition products available in their market. In Italy, Herbalife24® is the official Supplier for the Team’s sport supplements. And for the committee from Vietnam, the new agreement marks the continuation of the Herbalife nutrition sponsorship.PerformanceDay-165

Countries from the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia will all be represented by athletes sponsored by Herbalife. Our goal is to help these athletes to use nutrition to set them apart from the competition. One of the challenges that we face with elite athletes is that many of them don’t have the luxury of training and competing on a full-time basis, so they have to balance training with a job and family. It is extremely important that we can provide easy nutrition tips that they can adapt for their busy days. One way we do this by providing personalized shake recipes to help supplement their daily needs. Once at the Games, I will also be available to all Herbalife-sponsored athletes to address any of their nutritional needs.

Additionally, as Herbalife sports and nutrition scientist, I will be sending each athlete an Herbalife-branded recovery box along with some last-minute nutrition tips.

Our commitment to these competitors is the same as with all of our Herbalife-sponsored athletes. What we’re trying to accomplish with them is to not just say, “I’m going to give you this shake, take it for three weeks and be done with it.” It’s really about creating lasting, positive nutritional habits that can have an effect on their long-term career, beyond the couple weeks that they compete in Rio.

By supporting the goals and nutrition of athletes and National Olympic Committees, we are optimistic that they will perform to the best of their ability in Rio. Let the Games begin!
